What is Alabama Freedom Pass?

Alabama Freedom Pass is the toll discount program used by:

  • Beach Express (Orange Beach, AL)
  • Tuscaloosa By-Pass (Tuscaloosa, AL)
  • Montgomery Expressway (Millbrook, AL)
  • Emerald Mountain Expressway (Wetumpka, AL)


Each service you open in an Alabama Freedom Pass account will have a window sticker transponder assigned to it. Affix the sticker on the inside of your windshield and you are ready to go!

Freedom Pass Rewards

Freedom Pass customers are automatically enrolled in the Freedom Pass Rewards program which earns free trips each month:


  • Use your card 20 times in one month to earn one free trip
  • Use your card 30 times in one month to earn two free trips
  • Use your card 40 times in one month to earn three free trips
  • Use your card 50 times in one month to earn four free trips
  • Use your card 60 or more times in one month to earn six free trips

Freedom Pass Account - Residential

  • No service fees / No expiration date*
  • $25 to open account
  • No restriction on the number of transponders on your account*
  • Transponders can be used in our Freedom Pass lanes
  • 10¢ discount per trip
  • Automatic replenishment of your account when your balance is low
  • Automatic enrollment in Freedom Pass Rewards
